After the best class in the world, Local Spring Flora at the Chicago Botanic Garden (every Wednesday!), a nap at the garden before the bike ride home is the only clear choice.

One of my favorite photo sets on Flickr is Jason Travis’s Persona diptych series. While groups like “What’s in your bag” are pretty popular, Jason’s diptychs are really clean-cut and the diptych aspect with a portrait make his photos much more interesting. Here is one of my favorites. He has a book, Personified, that I would snatch up if I had a spare $60 lying around.
Anyway, I got up two hours early to do reading for my Kant class, but finished it in an hour, so I took a picture of the contents of mah bag.

P.S. I just joined the most popular of aforementioned groups on Flickr and saw they have this rule:
9. As from 1st Sept. 2010 we will no longer accept ‘diptych pictures’ – that’s where a picture is split in two – one half containing a portrait – the other half the contents of the bag they carry.
That’s so weird. Flickr groups are so weird and strict. I remember my flurry of joining groups back in the day and all the “******************REQUIRED READING BEFORE JOINING**********” messages that would pop up, or even having to get permission to join by submitting a personal statement before joining.
Anyhow…do you use Flickr? Add me as a contact!

Afternoon naps in my room with westward-facing bay windows are the best. Sprawling out on my bed with my super soft faux fur blankie and snuggling up with my comfort object (appropriately named Puppy).
